Volunteer For Youth Strategy
Volunteering with Youth Strategy offers the opportunity to work directly with the project coordinator and youth council on current projects and initiatives for the Youth Homelessness Prevention and Housing Stabilization Strategy. Participation is voluntary and based on your availability. Sign up
Become A Youth Council Member
Youth council members attend regular youth council, steering committee and at least one sub-committee meeting. Youth council members have the opportunity to be leaders in their community and share their insights and experiences to help shape initiatives in York Region to prevent and reduce youth homelessness. Currently only looking for those with lived experience of homelessness and/or housing insecurity that live in York Region. Sign up
Become A Steering Committee Member
Steering Committee members are representatives from a variety of cross-sectoral organizations and/or institutions, community stakeholders, businesses etc. comprising a large collective impact initiative to prevent and reduce youth homelessness. Sign up
Join A Sub-Committee
The Youth Homelessness Prevention and Housing Stabilization Strategy has various Sub-Committees that drive the work by developing initiatives within several priority areas.
